Make history with Holland America

Australian travellers now have the chance to make history by sailing with Holland America Line on its first ever Circumnavigation of Australia in 2010.

The 1432-passenger MS Volendam will sail the round-Australia itinerary for the first time in 2010, visiting 18 ports around the country.

The 34-night 'Circumnavigation of Australia' will sail roundtrip from Sydney departing 14 March 2010.

Ports of call include: Newcastle, Batemans Bay, Port Arthur, Hobart, Melbourne, Adelaide, Esperance, Albany, Perth, Geraldton, Exmouth and Darwin.

From Darwin Volendam will sail across the Arafura Sea and embark on a two day Great Barrier Reef experience, taking in Booby Island, Torres Strait, the Far North Region, Sherrard Island, the Ribbon Reef Region and Lizard Island.

Passengers will also visit Cairns, Townsville, Hamilton Island and Brisbane before arrving back in Sydney.

And now Australian passengers can sail on the itinerary for less, with Holland America Line's representative here in Australia, Travel the World, offering an early bird special fare of ,998 per person for an inside stateroom and $7,448 per person for an ocean view stateroom for guests who book the cruise before 31 May 2009.

Both fares represent a saving of up to $1,458 per person off brochure fares.
