Island hopping cruises coming to Sydney
By: Louise Goldsbury and Bruce Piper, Cruise Weekly
Sydneysiders will have a taste of island hopping in October when Captain Cook Cruises catamarans ferry people around the harbour to four islands in one day.
Presented by NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service, the cruise is part of Crave Sydney, a 31-day celebration of the city's culture and heritage.
Aboard a Rocket Ferry, passengers will visit Clark, Shark and Garden islands and historic Fort Denison. Each island will showcase elements of Sydney's lifestyle, with indigenous art and culture on Clark Island; naval history on Garden Island, fine food on Fort Denison, while Shark Island will be transformed into a fantasy island with life-size dinosaur puppets.
The 148-passenger ferries will depart from Circular Quay every half an hour between 9.30am and 3pm.
The Rocket Ferries will also transfer people to Rodd Island's Tea Dance and Perfect Picnic on 20-21 October and Clark Island's picnic day with a live DJ on 25 October.
Tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.

Deck chairs are so precious on cruises that Celebrity Equinox has recruited "pool butlers" to politely keep chair-hoggers under control.
To stop people saving multiple chairs for long periods of time, the butlers will watch over proceedings and organise fair furniture distribution.
The ship has even widened its front deck to fit in 100 extra deck chairs and also placed a few in the Lawn Club to encourage passengers to relax in areas away from the pools.
The move follows complaints that there were not enough places to lounge around in the sun because people were holding onto deck chairs all day, using towels to mark their territory.
