Royal Caribbean unveils Asia plan

The cruise line's widest-ever range of itineraries includes short cruises from Shanghai in 2010 and new ports of call in Taiwan, Japan and Russia.
Royal Caribbean has announced its Asian program for the first half of 2010 featuring a variety of new itineraries and destinations in Asia.
The Legend of the Seas program includes cruises from Shanghai to link in with the city's World Expo 2010 (May to October), sailing to Japanese and Korean cities such as Kobe, Kagoshima and Busan.
Eight out of 14 itineraries rolled out for this season, ranging from four to nine nights, are featured for the first time.
New ports of call include Hualien (Taiwan), Miyazaki and Nagoya (Japan), Vladivostok (Russia) and a new homeport, Yokohama (Tokyo).
Six sailings out of Hong Kong will visit destinations such as Sanya and Hue/ Danang (China), Taipei (Taiwan) and Okinawa (Japan).
There will also be three sailings out of Taiwan's Kaohsiung to ports such as Halong Bay and Hong Kong.
"Over 34,000 Australians cruised in Asia last year and as the second largest destination from the Australian market we're delighted to offer our broadest ever range of itineraries in the region," said Adam Armstrong, commercial manager, Royal Caribbean Australia.
"With an unprecedented choice in home ports, durations and destinations there's sure to be a cruise for everyone on the everpopular Legend of the Seas."
