Cunard has cut the price of world voyage fares for cruises to or from Sydney in 2010 and released 13 new sectors from other Australian ports.
The sale, which includes half-price specials, applies to three sectors on the 2010 world voyage of Queen Victoria and two sectors on Queen Mary 2.
A 19-night sailing on Queen Victoria from Sydney to Hong Kong, departing 20 February, is now priced from $3179 per person twin-share and a 23-night cruise from San Francisco to Sydney, departing 27 January, has been reduced to $3679pp.
A longer sector of 32 nights, from Sydney to Singapore, departing 20 February, now costs from $5479pp twin-share.
The new fares on two sectors of Queen Mary 2 start at $4569 for 23 nights from Hong Kong to Sydney, departing 13 February, and $5779 for 30 nights from Singapore to Sydney, departing 06 February.
The company has also released 13 additional sectors sailing to and from other Australian ports on Queen Victoria's 2010 world voyage.
Departing from Fremantle on 28 February, an 11-night cruise to Hong Kong is priced from $2179pp twin-share; and from Adelaide to Hong Kong, departing 24 February for 15 nights, costs from $2969pp twin-share.
A 30-night cruise from Melbourne to Singapore, departing 22 February, is priced from $5299pp twin-share. Ann Sherry, CEO of Carnival Australia, which represents Cunard, said the new fares meant more Australians would be able to treat themselves, closer to home, to the timeless elegance and luxury of ocean cruising.
"Sailing on the elegant Queen Victoria or Queen Mary 2 is such an amazing experience that many of our guests return year after year. We're sure these fantastic new fares will entice more Australians to book with Cunard and discover a unique way to holiday at sea," Ms Sherry said.

Fun facts about Royal Caribbean International's 2435-passenger liner.
