Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed the hull design which will decorate its largest freestyle cruising ship to date, the soonto- be-finished Norwegian Epic.
The company has also announced that it will begin taking reservations for Epic's inaugural 2010/11 season on 21 May, with a special preview day for members of the line's Latitude program on 20 May.
The ship is scheduled to sail year round to the Caribbean from Miami in 2010/11.
The Epic's hull design is a break from tradition for NCL, with other vessels adorned with designs based around the ship's name or the destination from which it sails.
According to NCL the Epic design "takes on the characteristics of the ship's interior features - a sophisticated, modern and sleek design and colour palette."

A renewal of vows package starts from $125, and wedding deals start at $250 including use of the onboard chapel, beauty/hair treatments for the bride and groom, pre-wedding drinks, music, champagne and canapes, portrait and group picture, private area in the restaurant for dinner with wines, wedding cake, and fresh fruit for the honeymooners in their cabin.
Fun facts about Royal Caribbean International's 2435-passenger liner.
It is 279 metres in length, meaning that if the ship was stood on its end in Paris, it would be just 21 metres shorter than the Eiffel Tower.
