The meals are homemade and the tents are spacious enough for two. Your pooch is looked after as well and instead of having to sleep out in the cold, they can bunk down in the annex right by your side. The only thing you are required to bring is your dog's favourite food.
While the guides are setting up camp, campers are free to explore the surrounding area and the walking tracks that literally go on for kilometres.
The bushland can get quite rugged, especially if you go off the trails so it is advisable to have your dog protected against flees and ticks before embarking on your weekend away in the Chichester wilderness.
A half day four wheel drive adventure through the forest is included in the camping package. This gives campers and their pets the opportunity to see some of the magnificent scenery and to take a swim in one of a number of swimming holes in the area.

The facts
Andrew and Leisa's Barrington Tops Camping Tours start from $198 per adult and $99 for kids, 12 and over. Children under 12 are free when accompanied by two paying adults. Tours include one night camping accommodation, equipment, meals and a half day four wheel drive tour.
