Bilpin Springs Lodge is a 90 minute drive into the Blue Mountains from Sydney. The beautiful country house is set amongst tall gum trees and apple orchards creating the perfect location for families, with plenty of farm activities to keep kids, parents and grandparents entertained.
This traditional bush experience is fun as well as educational for the kids. The activities are endless and include fishing for yabbies or trout, picking the Bilpin apples in the orchard, boomerang throwing and even whip cracking.
There are also plenty of animals to feed, including the horses, ponies, cattle and some very cute calves. Pony rides are available for the younger children, taking them to the Mt Tomah Botanic Gardens, just 10 minutes up the road.
If you enjoy a bumpy ride, try out the two seater bush buggy, which can be driven round the official Bilpin Springs Lodge bush buggy track. If you'd rather not drive yourself, sit back in the 4WD Tour which takes you round the surrounding countryside.
While the kids are keeping occupied, parents can sit back on the lodge's veranda, relax in the spa pool or even join the kids. There are BBQ facilities and campfires available to roast marshmallows after a hard day of fun.
Bilpin Springs Lodge has many attractions on-site, and its location is the perfect central point to explore the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury River and Central West regions.
If you choose to stay, rooms are available to book every day of the year and charges include breakfast. The lodge sleeps a maximum of eighteen people and can be booked out for friends and families together. The lodge also offers comfy lounges, large wood fires, the Drovers Hat Restaurant for meals and the No Bull Bar for a drink and a game of pool.
