Georgie Parker's Blue Mountains, NEW SOUTH WALES

Leura in the Blue Mountains is about an hour and a half's drive west of Sydney and the first stop on Georgie's itinerary is Bygone Beautys.

As the name suggests Bygone Beautys sells some old beauties and the comprehensive range of rings up to 100 years old have the potential to fascinate jewellery lovers for hours. The teapot collection at Bygone Beauties numbers 2,600 and being home to so many teapots it is no wonder morning tea is taken very seriously.

Georgie, a self-confessed food lover, then heads to one of her favourite cafes, The Loaves and the Dishes. Here the pate and the sandwiches are absolutely divine and that's not to mention the scrumptious tarts and quiches. The Loaves and the Dishes is one of those places where you can go into sensory overload; the food looks, smells and tastes sensational.

Next stop for Georgie is the Leura Candy Store. With over a thousand different sweets lining the shelves, including many popular old favourites such as Rosy Apples, even the rarest sweet eater is bound to be tempted by at least one. Another favourite spot is the Swiss Cottage Restaurant. Their dessert menu and range of Swiss chocolate are the ultimate for a quick choc fix.

The last of Georgie's Mountains recommendations is The Norman Lindsay Gallery, a National Trust Property in Springwood and where Lindsay created some of his most famous works, including the Magic Pudding in 1917.
