All roads lead to the Deni Ute Muster!

Whilst the town of Deniliquin, in the Southern NSW Riverina District, offers visitors a variety of natural attractions and outback characters, there is one time of year when all roads really do lead to Deni and the visitors arrive in their thousands, in their utes, for the annual Deni Play on the Plains Festival and world record Ute Muster!

The Riverina plain stretches northwards in what is the flattest land on earth, with Deniliquin situated on the Edward River. It is in the centre of Riverina sheep station country and on the fringe of the world's largest redgum forest.

Once a year a mass of visitors arrive, more interested in the rev of the engines, Chesty Bonds singlets, live entertainment and thrills and attractions that are all part of the annual Ute Muster.

On October 2, 1999, Deniliquin wrote itself into history claiming the Guinness Book of Records title for the largest parade of legally registered utes in the world (2,839 in total) and a new world record bid has been held as part of the annual Festival each year since.

In 2007 the event attracted over 18,000 enthusiastic visitors, with an incredible 6,235 utes converging on the festival grounds.

Visitors also answered the call to don their 'Blueys' to reach yet another record of 1,587 people in Bonds Blue Singlets, in the one place.

World records aside, there is plenty of action on offer to keep people of all ages, including families, entertained. From Whip cracking, to circle work, bull riding, Chesty Bonds Look-alike & ute pulling competitions, to ute museums and demonstrations.

Camping is FREE in the festival compound area all weekend, with 3 defined camping areas providing a 'Ute's only' Camping Area, 'Non Ute' Camping Area, and a 'Family' Camping area.

The Festival pass includes non stop entertainment throughout each day, camping facilities and 2 massive evening concerts

2008's evening concerts will be showcasing the Cream of OZ Music such as: The Living End, Lee Kernaghan, Kasey Chambers, James Reyne/Mark Seymour, The Songbirds, Steve Forde, Morgan Evans, The Sunny Cowgirls and loads more.

Don't miss the next Deni Ute Muster, so you too can discover why Deniliquin proudly calls itself "The Ute Capital of the World"!
