Western Plains Zoo is a wildlife adventure park, located in a 300 hectare Australian bush setting, with over 1000 exotic, endangered and native animals, open plan exhibits, free ranging native species, and an abundance of birdlife.
Zoofari Lodge is a unique retreat in the grounds of the Western Plains Zoo, Dubbo. The only zoo based accommodation of its kind in Australia, Zoofari Lodge is tucked away from the public areas of the Zoo, providing guests with a chance to get close, to wildlife from all over the world.
Zoofari Lodge offers intimate encounters with exotic and often endangered animals, without forfeiting comfort and service. As well as accommodation in the private African-style canvas covered lodge, and meals prepared using local produce, the Zoofari Lodge experience includes a series of behind-the-scenes tours in the company of a Zoo Guide.
