Villa Lago, Wallis Lake, NEW SOUTH WALES
Airing Date: Aug 25th, 2006
Ernie checks into his own private waterfront villa for a little RnR. Villa Lago is nestled on the shores of Wallis Lake around 3 and a half hours north of Sydney. Wallis Lake is famous for it oysters and stretches for 30kms from north of Pacific Palms up to the Forster Tuncurry estuary. It's an ideal spot for safe water sports, with the shallow areas perfect for windsurfing and catamaran sailing.
You'll also have the whole place to yourself - the whole 7 acres, surrounded by only water and nature plus the occasional animals that can be seen pottering around the property such as kangaroos, goannas and dozens of birds.
The property can be the perfect family retreat, sleeping up to 8 people, or it could be just the right type of escape for you and your special someone, you can even bring the family dog along too. The villa is decked out in the best of the best interior fittings. From luxurious Italian sofas to a state of the art Bose sound system.
The home itself is constructed with a combination of mud brick, timber and glass. Every room opens out onto 270 degree views of the lake and coastline beyond. The Villa has three large bedrooms in the main house with the two king bedroom suites being able to be split into separate single beds.
And the remaining room features a magnificent queen sized four-poster bed. But the snooze spots don't stop there - there's also the lounge day bed and a further two guests are able to stay in the pool house.
