Extravacamps, Kangaroo Valley, NEW SOUTH WALES
Airing Date: Oct 2nd, 2006
Want to go camping without compromising comfort? Extravacamp is a new camping accommodation on the banks of the Upper Kangaroo River in New South Wales.
The first thing you'll notice when you arrive at your Extravacamp is the solitude. You will have a large area on private property at your disposal.
Also there's no preparation required. All your tents will be put up, your furniture set up and even your firewood chopped. The only thing you need to bring to an Extravacamp will be clothes.
Food, drinks, transport, or just about anything else you might require for your camping holiday can be provided. At the end of your holiday, you simply pack your clothes and drive off into the sunset. No morning checkout here.
It couldn't be easier. It couldn't be more luxurious. Kangaroo Valley has some of the most spectacular scenery in Australia.
It is for this reason that real estate prices in the Kangaroo Valley are amongst the highest rural prices in Australia.
Fitzroy Falls are on Yarrunga Creek, which drops over 80 metres down the escarpment, and flows into the Kangaroo River.
The Kangaroo Valley Fudge House sells heaps of yummy fudge other treats.
They don't make the fudge on the premises anymore but if you like, Christine the owner is happy to make some brittle for you.
