Baby Proms at the Opera House - The Proms concert series are the most popular and successful introduction-to-music programs in the history of
Sydney Opera House, attracting more than 300,000 young children over the past decade.
This will be the 3rd year they have taken the programs into regional NSW and these too have proved popular.
The Babies Proms music program is the hottest ticket for 2-5 year olds in Sydney, this engaging program introduces the joys of live music to children through incredible storytelling and humour.
Hyde Park Barracks Museum- Built between 1817 and 1819, this popular landmark is located on the historic precinct of
Macquarie Street and
Queens Square in Sydney.
Discover the daily lives of convicts and other occupants through exhibitions on Sydney's male convict labour force, Australia's convict system, an innovative soundscape, excavated artefacts, exposed layers of building fabric and the complex's rooms and spaces.
Guided tours are available on request. For groups, please contact the property to book a tour. A large number of school groups visit the Barracks each weekday. If you want to avoid these groups, it is best to visit after 3.00pm. They have two children's trails at the Barracks which are available every day its open.
There is
Barracks Bingo which is a visual puzzle for kids aged 6 and under. There are 6 pictures of objects inside and outside the museum that kids have to tick off when they see them. When they have found them all they take their map back to reception and get a stamp for it!
The other trail is called
Catch a Convict and is for 7 - 12 year olds. There are four clues on this puzzle including a riddle to solve and basically they have to figure out which convict it is. They then check their answer on a computer and at the end they receive a print out of the convicts records and a stamp. Kids love them!
Kids Afloat with RhythmBoat Cruises - Kids Hop aboard their two story, 20 metre catamaran at Darling Harbour. The downstairs area is fully enclosed making it totally kid safe.
They specialise in children aged between 2-10 years old and take on between 50 to 100 kids for each show. They will keep them entertained for the full 2 1/2 hours so that parents can sit back and enjoy the sites of the harbour!

Easter weekend providing hours of entertainers from street performers to professional acrobats, there is something to keep the kids in awe.
Sydney Wildlife World is home to more than SIX Thousand animals with 130 all Australian species! We're talking an all Aussie Park! They've even shipped in REAL red dirt from the Northern Territory to make this place as authentic as it can be.
The exhibit is 7,000 square metres and features almost one kilometre of closed walkways across two levels. The average visit time is around 1.5 hours. There are WOW Facts up on the walls around the exhibits to enhance the educational aspect as well.
Located next door is the
Sydney Aquarium, with more than 11, 000 varieties of aquatic animals, there is an endless supply of exhibits, including Seal Sanctuary, Oceans of Australia, The Great Barrier reef, and the open ocean oceanarium .
