This is no ordinary school - Leconfield is a school for Jackaroo/Jillaroo wannabes.
Ever wanted to learn how to muster cattle, crack a whip, swim a horse or throw a calf? Well, this place with teach you all the tricks of the trade - and it's all in the name of good horsemanship!
Deep in the heart of Tamworth, (Australia's country music capital) trainee Jackaroo and Jillaroos will learn calf throwing, cracking and roping, sheep shearing, stockman horse-riding, building fences and yards, swimming the horses, whip and mustering sheep and cattle.
But it's not all about hard work. At the end of each day Jackaroos and Jillaroos will be welcomed in like one of the family and served up lashings of home cooked country meals. They'll learn how to make the perfect cup of billy tea and bake traditional damper too.
And what Aussie outback experience wouldn't be complete without some four-wheel driving, swimming in bush dams and yarns around the campfire under the southern night sky?
