The Entrance, NEW SOUTH WALES
Airing Date: Jun 4th, 2002
It is easy to see why families have been flocking here for more than 100 years.
The Entrance offers all types of traditional fun but for something a bit modern try a Funtech Scoot Car. Drivers of these new-aged vehicles must hold a current drivers license but there's plenty of room for two.
The Entrance Waterfront Mall holds local markets every Saturday.
After grabbing a bargain or two head next door for a nostalgic piece of the past and take a ride on the 70 year old carousel. Originally imported from France, it has been restored to its former glory with hand carved horses. This piece of history will show the kids some old-time fun.
At lunchtime follow the crowds to Jimbo's Seafood, a fish and chip institution for over 50 years. The special family pack is designed to feed the whole clan.
After lunch head to Vera's Watergarden, a colourful interactive aquatic pool the kids will just love. But don't leave before 3.30pm because that's when the daily pelican feeding takes places.
With so many activities there are plenty of reasons to stay overnight. A villa at the Dunleith Caravan Park is an affordable family option.
