Crocodylus Park, NORTHERN TERRITORY
Airing Date: Jan 6th, 2003
These amazing creatures can hit the scales at a massive one and a half tonnes and grow up to six metres long.
If you'd rather deal with something smaller, join the free volunteer program, where you can help baby crocs to hatch out of their eggs.
By cracking the egg gently the baby can emerge and you'll become an instant parent. Within 24 hours the babies will be able to eat their first solids - a combination of kangaroo meat and chicken heads. Volunteers must be over 14 and allow a minimum of four hours to take part in the hatchings.
It's not just crocs that live at Crocodylus Park. The park is home to five other species including spider monkeys and marmosets, which visitors are welcome to hand feed. However, not all animals at the park can be fed by visitors, the big cats are famous for getting feisty when they're hungry so only the staff can feed these animals. Sabre the tiger consumes nearly 25 kilograms of meat every week and the park's two dingos are always ready to eat.
When it's time to feed yourself, head to Yots Caf at Cullen Bay in Darwin for delicious dishes like where beef medallions and greens are on the menu.
