The Top End is bigger than Denmark or Ireland - big enough to include three world-class National Parks. Each of these parks offers a different experience, and its own unique feeling - its own Spirit of Place.

One of the most remote National Parks is Garig Ganuk Barlu (Gurig), in Arnhem Land on the Coburg Peninsula. Remote yes, but only a 45 min flight from Darwin.

Voted one of the world's most outstanding lodges, Seven Spirit Bay is on the northern coastline of the Coburg Peninsula, right on the Arafura Sea, in some 2,200 square kilometres of tropical wilderness.

The Lodge and it's surrounds offer incredible environmental diversity - from the ocean and coast to rivers, estuaries, paperbark swamps, rainforest jungle, bush and age old rock formations. Seven Spirit Bay Lodge has taken it's name from the more complex Aboriginal calendar, which incorporates seven seasons (not just the usual wet and dry season), each one playing a vital role in the renewal of the land.

Each of the 23 secluded 'habitats' is large, hexagonal and features two Queen size beds, mini-bar/fridge, tea and coffee making facilities, ceiling fans and louvered shades with screens. A private garden bathroom is adjacent to the habitat with showers surrounded by gardens and open to the sky.

Greg Norman and Rex Hunt consider the area one of the best fishing destinations in the world. The tidal creeks are famous for Barramundi, Mangrove Jack and Threadfin Salmon, while the ocean teems with Spanish Mackerel, Giant Trevally and Queenfish. A catch and release policy applies. All equipment is supplied, except fly fishing gear.

Seven Spirit Bay can organise for guests to join a range of exclusive 4WD or walking safaris including an introduction to some of the richest and most powerful Aboriginal cultural sites at Kakadu National Park or Mt.Borradaile.
