The 900 million year old Standley Chasm, is one of the main attractions on the tour. The walls of the chasm reach 70 metres. It houses rare ochre pits where Aboriginal people collected colours for ceremonial body painting. The tour also visits Ormiston Gorge where the rocks are around 850 million years old and Ellery Creek 'Big Hole' which is used as a swimming hole at certain times of the year.
The final stop is Glen Helen Gorge. The Finke River runs through it and it is considered one of the oldest gorges in the world.
