Albert Valley is located 40 minutes out of Brisbane or the Gold Coast and is home to one of the area's most popular recreation parks.
Glassy's Fishing World is owned and operated by Lance Glass. The park has a dozen large ponds, which are stocked with thousands of Australian native fish just waiting to for the keen angler.
Australian bass, golden perch, silver perch, saratoga, barcoo grunter, barramundi, sooty grunter, Murray cod and eel-tailed catfish are among some of the pond residents.
All you need to hook one is an understanding of the basics of fly-fishing, and if you don't, Glassy is always on hand to offer pointers.
If you need a break from the hectic fishing schedule, Glassy's also offers facilities for a round of aqua golf. Again, Glassy will be happy to brief you on the rules.

The facts
Entry to Glassy's Fishing World is $10 per adult and $5 for children under seven.
A half-day fishing will cost you $30 and this includes all tackle and a fishing lesson.
A round of aqua golf, including clubs and balls, will cost $10 per person.
