Secrets on the Lake is no ordinary holiday retreat. Located in Montville, just an hour from Brisbane, guests are invited to lodge in the heart of a rainforest - quite literally, in one of nine cosy tree houses.
Secrets tree-houses have been designed to offer guests a secure and sensuous experience in the rainforest. The tree-houses are cleverly sited to offer total privacy and provide definitive accommodation.
Each tree-house contains a hand-crafted queen size bed, double shower and sunken double spa bath with view. There's a log fire for those cosy nights in, as well as a lounge suit and mood lighting to create the perfect atmosphere. For entertainment the rooms feature a TV, DVD and CD player, or you can simply enjoy the views from your balcony, which comes equipped with its own gas-fired BBQ.
The tree-houses are accessed via an elevated walkway which winds through the rainforest canopy. Constructed from local logs, the walkway is abundantly decorated with carvings of local fauna and other whimsical sculptures.
Guests are greeted with a welcoming champagne breakfast basket which includes homemade biscuits, muffins and croissants hot from the oven. Food can be ordered from reception, including chocolates and cheese platters upon request.
You can also select one of the in-house massages available. Other activities include canoeing on the lake, fishing or enjoying the walks through the surrounding rainforest.
