The North Adelaide Heritage Group is a family-owned organisation that manages 20 restored properties at various spots around North Adelaide.

Buxton Manor is a glorious mansion built in 1908. It's considered a local celebrity hot spot, and its star-studded guest list includes David Atkins, Vince Colosimo and Jack Thompson.
The Manor has a great collection of Australian antiques and features open log fires, polished floors, decorative fireplaces, ornate ceilings and sumptuous antique beds.
Five Grand Suites are available, including the Butler's Quarters. This area has an original kitchen, two master bedrooms and a 1930s gentleman's lounge.
If you're after a divine experience, why not stay at the Friendly Meeting Chapel? It was a Friendly Society meeting place in the late 1800s, and is located right in the heart of North Adelaide's caf district. This is a historically significant property and is State Heritage Listed.
The Friendly Meeting Chapel is ideal for romance, with its big brass bed, beautiful antique furniture and lavish two-person spa bath. It has a tall steeped roof lined with honeycomb timbered ceiling vents and high domed windows that ensure privacy and seclusion. The chapel is furnished with interesting antiques, such as a turn of the century ornate musical organ, an Edwardian oriental privacy screen and a cedar chaise lounge.
The facts
A room at The Buxton Manor is normally $259 per double, but as a special offer for viewers of The Great Outdoors, the first 100 callers will receive their second night for free. This means it's just under $65 per night each, with a big breakfast included.
The two for one deal also applies to The Friendly Meeting Chapel. Pay just $282 for two people for two nights. That's just over $70 per night each, including a cooked breakfast.
