Take a walk on the wildside...

Why not take a walk on the wild side in South Australia and get close to the animals both in and around Adelaide.

From walking amongst the wild and native animals at Cleland Wildlife Park, to touring the open plains at Monarto Zoo, there's an abundance of wildlife experiences to be had near the city of churches!

Cleland Wildlife Park is 40 years old in 2007 and boasts 35 ha of open bushland habitat where visitors can interact with Australian wildlife such as Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus and Waterfowl as well as displays of Dingoes, Reptiles, Tasmanian Devils and Koalas. They hold excellent daily shows during school holidays that are highly interactive and the kids love. A little further out of Adelaide, at the Monarto Zoo, they offer the opportunity to take a look behind the scenes at "Working with Wildlife" and meet the open plains zoo's newest residents...the lion cubs and baby rhinoceros - all part of their important breeding programmes - and these babies can only be seen on the Behind The Scenes tours. The experience is a great day out and helps gain a real insight into what working in this field would be like, as well as giving you the chance to get up close and personal with the animal residents!
