First stop is RW Squibb & Sons orchard in Spreyton. They run tours, which take you from the orchard to the cool rooms, and it ends in the wholesale area where visitors can purchase fresh produce.
Further up the highway at Westbury is the delicious White House Bakery. Westbury is an English style town with many historical buildings and a quaint village green. The White House was built in 1841 and the specialities at the bakery are the bread cooked in the wood-fired oven and the lamingtons.
An hour from here is the Hillwood Strawberry Farm and Fruit Wine Centre. Strawberries and cream, strawberry jam, cheese tasting and lots of fresh strawberries are the attraction here. Located in the lush Tamar Valley it is a major tourist attraction for the region and a great place for a treat.
Two hours later, through a patchwork of dairy farms, you come to the seaside town of St. Helens, and the St Helen's Caravan Park.
Just 15 minutes from here is the Pub in the Paddock. Something of an institution in the west of the state - it's famous for looking somewhat like a barn in the middle of a paddock. It also features two resident beer-swilling pigs - Slops and Priscilla and is also well known for its abundant evening meals.
