Mount Black Lodge located at Rosebery on the west coast of Tasmania, about a four and a half hour drive from Hobart, is a place where you will want to have your camera at the ready.
Here you can participate in a three day, two night Mount Black Photographic Tour with local photographer Peter Glover. From absolute beginners to experienced photographers, Peter will cater the tour to your skills.
Photography is so much more than simply pressing a button, it is an art and you'll learn how to take a picture capturing the light and creating the best composition.
The first stop on the tour is Lake Rosebery, about 15 minutes from Rosebery itself. Then it's on to a small pocket of rainforest about 20 minutes away where the luscious vegetation forms a fantastic back drop.
Various locations are visited during the tour so you can test your skills in different locations and situations.
Days two and three of the tour take you to more spectacular sites where there is an abundance of picturesque settings at your fingertips.
Local knowledge of classic spots is one of the real advantages of doing a tour like this. Many of the spots you visit are not frequented by unguided tourists.
Budding artists are sure to find inspiration in Peter's work and the amazing surrounding mountains.
At the end of each day you return to base, the Mount Black Lodge, for a delicious homemade dinner.

Three day, 2 night Mount Black Photographic Tours operate on weekends and start from $300 per person twin share for a maximum of four people. This includes all meals, accommodation and three fully guided photographic tours. One day tours start at $180 per person.
