Butts Gourmet Smokehouse offers a range of delights including smoked trout, kangaroo, venison, chicken and beef, cured using traditional techniques on the premises of this 15 year old business.Not far out of town you can also visit Hume Weir Trout Farm, offering visitors the chance to purchase their smoked trout products and even catch their own trout on the premises to cook up on the bbqs on the landscaped property.Wodonga/Rutherglen, VIC: Whilst Wodonga is also home to numerous cafes, restaurants, delis & farm fresh produce, a 45 minute drive west of town, will take you to the popular wine making town of Rutherglen. Famous for it's muscats, visitors can follow the 'muscat trail' and visit a number of top class wineries, you may even run into some of the 'Young Bloods of Rutherglen', a group formed in 2003 and consisting of the younger generation of some of Rutherglen's oldest wine families.
