Becon Resort Queenscliff, VICTORIA

Located in Queenscliff, the historic heart of the Bellarine Peninsula and at the gateway to the Great Ocean Road, Beacon Resort Holiday Park is within easy reach of all your holiday needs. A multitude of accommodation, along with spacious camping and caravan sites, provide affordable options to suit all tastes.

Unlimited possibilities exist for everyone to indulge in their favourite pastimes. Resort style leisure facilities include a 12.5 metre heated indoor pool with toddler wading pool, floodlit tennis courts, playgrounds, basketball, volleyball, recreation hall, year-round kids' activity program and movie room. There are sheltered BBQ facilities scattered around the resort, and an atrium-style Camper's Kitchen allows for all year round dining.

Beacon Resort is only two minutes' walk from beautiful swimming and surf beaches, and there's plenty to do in the surrounding areas of picturesque Queenscliff and Point Lonsdale.

With historic buildings, boutiques, pier, surf and bay fishing, boats to charter, two golf courses, scenic bike rides and a historic steam train, there's plenty to entertain the whole family. With the idea of giving parents a break, Beacon's Kids' Club runs for about an hour on Saturday morning all year round, as long as there are kids around. During holidays the club operates every day. Activities include crafts, treasure hunts, Kids' Olympics and movie and popcorn mornings.

Close to Beacon Resort is the Bellarine Estate Winery. The 100 acre property occupies the northern slopes of the hills between Drysdale and Portarlington, overlooking Corio Bay.

The vineyard is nestled in a valley and sheltered from harsh winds, yet perfectly positioned to capture the sun's rays. This true maritime climate provides warm days and cool nights, ensuring a long, slow ripening season and fruit of exceptional quality.

The area's rich black basalt soils overlying a limestone base further accentuate the fruit flavours. Bellarine Estate is planted to Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz and Merlot.
