Kingbilli Country Estate, VICTORIA

The solitude and surrounding natural beauty make Kingbilli the perfect remedy for relieving city stress.

The estate has three fully self-contained bluestone cottages that sleep two to four people. The cosy cottages have a fully equipped kitchen and are stocked with breakfast essentials.

Sports equipment such as fishing rods, tennis racquets and mountain bikes are also conveniently stored in the cupboards for guests to use.

For less energetic guests there are videos and your own private library at your fingertips. The property offers extensive facilities including a tennis court, numerous marked tracks to explore by bike or foot, and a couple of dams where you can indulge in spot of fly-fishing.

Fishing is a favoured pastime for many but it can be frustrating thing if you don't catch anything. Dave Pickering, a fishing legend in Victoria's high country, can be recruited to show you the fundamentals behind a successful fishing outing.

Kingbilli can set up a lesson for you on request and with rainbow trout being a common catch you'll want to increase the odds as much as you can.

As far as meals go, Kingbilli offer fully catered stays, a highlight of which is heading out for a picnic lunch carried by some of their friendly llamas.

Kingbilli also offers a unique deal for young adults aged 18 to 30. If you fall into this category and are prepared to do 20 hours a week in chores on the farm you will get your room, board and the use of all facilities for free.
