Located right in the heart of Hawthorn, just a few kilometres east of the CBD, Glenferrie Oval was the Hawks' home ground from the time they entered the VFL in 1925.
A tiny ground, it enabled spectators to have an extremely close-up view of the action which lent to a tremendous and intimate atmosphere. Glenferrie remains the club's administrative base.
The club's weekly training session at the ground on a Tuesday night is one of the most popular training sessions of any club, with the Hawks' famous free sausage sizzle always on offer as fans queue for a snag while watching their heroes at close range.
The Collingwood Children's Farm is home to the full range of farm animals, ranging in size from earthworms, bees, guinea pigs, cats, chickens, ducks, geese, peacocks, sheep, goats and pigs up to the horses, cows & donkeys! Cow milking is at 10am and 4 pm
