Airing Date: Jan 1st, 2002
If fishing is your holiday activity of choice then there is no better place to do it than the Kimberley in Western Australian. Head to Kununurra and join a guided Barramundi Tour to really experience the best that the area has to offer. The fishing location is 90 minutes' drive from town and there, your guide will show you how to catch a 'Barra' while also revealing some secrets about Aboriginal fishing. One such tip is to use fresh mullet as bait but remember, you can only keep one barramundi per person so be careful about which one you keep. Bait, tackle and 4WD transfers are all included in the price of the tour.Your fishing guide also runs bush survival walks showing all the hidden treasures of the bush. You will also sample some of nature's finest bush tucker such as seeds from a boab tree that taste like powdered milk.To finish the day you can sit around the campfire to a feast of fresh fish and salad.
