Vancouver Island, CANADAVancouver Island, CANADAVancouver Island, CANADA

Vancouver Island is the western frontier of Canada and home to some of the most spectacular and rugged scenery in the country. The highways on the island have opened up this remote region to travellers, making it easy to explore.

Paradise Found Adventure Tours is host to one of the fastest growing adventure tours in Canada: Campbell River Salmon Snorkel Tours. Their "Snorkel with the Salmon" Vancouver Island experience is truly unique and runs from early July to late October.

Your hosts will provide you with the equipment and show you everything you need to know. In no time, you'll find yourself floating down the Campbell River among some of the world's most magnificent wild salmon.

Sonora Resort is a 45min - 1 hour boat ride from Campbell River. Sonora Resort offers British Columbia kayaking tours in conjunction with local experts. Watch the surface for mink, otters, seals and whales - many kayakers have even been known to encounter schools of dolphins and bald eagles, kingfishers and herons soaring overhead. The peaceful quiet of paddling makes a kayaking tour the ideal way to commune with British Columbia's nature, up close. On the east coast of Vancouver Island, is Oceanside which is Beach Country boasting spectacular sandy beaches, coastal mountain vistas, and lush temperate forests.

With no less than seven provincial parks located within a thirty-minute drive, Oceanside provides a host of outdoor recreational activities, including hiking, camping, caving and golfing.

Located in the Arrowsmith Coombs Country region of Oceanside, Coombs is a popular stopping point for tourists on the way to Tofino, Ucluelet and the Pacific Rim Park on the west coast of Vancouver Island.

The little village of Coombs is dotted with several heritage buildings, small gift and craft shops, antique stores, and is known for the family of goats nimbly grazing on the grass rooftop of the Coombs Old Country Market.

Clayoquot Wilderness Resorts & Spa is located in the fragile Clayoquot Sound Biosphere reserve. The resorts have grown into a golden triangle of adventure which begins and ends in the tiny village of Tofino on the western edge of Vancouver Island.

Accommodation includes an enclave of 23 great white canvas deluxe guest and family suite tents, plus dining tents, spa tents, and lounge tents offers visitors a taste of how the fortunate spent their summers 'roughing it' some one hundred years ago. This is a remote outpost, but up close is an ultra-luxurious, 21st-century-eco-safari style wilderness playground.
