Whistler,
Canada's famous skiing mountain, has more visitors in summer than in winter. In the summer, visitors can explore five fresh lakes, four championship golf courses, 30 kilometres of biking trails, hundreds of kilometres of cross country mountain bike trails, and the world's leading downhill mountain Bike Park (where full-suspension bikes are mounted on chairlifts).
Whistler has a mountain community of nearly 9,500 permanent residents, and boasts 115 Hotels /B&Bs /Condos, offering 5,369 rooms. There are more than 200 shops throughout the village and over 120 restaurants.
Whistler and
Blackcomb Mountains have the highest lift-serviced vertical, and the largest terrain, of any ski area in

Ziptrek's tour areas are situated in the valley between
Whistler and
Blackcomb Mountains and cover over 11 hectares (33 acres) of land. Ziplining involves gliding along a suspended steel cable, using a pulley and climbing harness, and the Ziptrek ziplines range from 24m to 335m. The tour duration is approximately 2.5 hours, and includes a short shuttle by four-wheel drive van (and snow cat in winter) to & from Ziptrek's base on
Blackcomb Mountain. The tour also includes an award-winning ecological curriculum, guides (two on every tour), and TreeTrek Tour across viewing platforms up to 61m / 200ft in the treetops.
