For all those girls who have dreamt of finding their own Mr Darcy, you can now follow in Elizabeth Bennet's footsteps - through Derbyshire and Lincolnshire in northern England.

First published in 1813, Pride & Prejudice is Jane Austen's most famous novel - it follows the adventures of the five Bennet sisters and their parents attempts to find them husbands.

In 2005, Universal Pictures released a version starring Keira Knightley and Matthew McFadyen. Unusually for a movie of this size, "Pride and Prejudice" was shot entirely on location around England and the production secured some of England's most beautiful houses for the shoot - most are accessible to visitors.

First up 'Chatsworth' doubles as the opulent 'Pemberley'. Lizzy wannabes can stare at the Mr Darcy bust featured in the film which is still on display in the sculpture gallery of this magnificent private home. Then take a ride in Mr Darcy's carriage and if you still haven't had your Mr Darcy fix, you can even stay in his bed - Well the actor's at least - the George Hotel in Stamford was home to the cast and crew during filming.
