Situated in a most ideal setting, just 64 kilometres southwest of the Korean Peninsula is Korea's largest island, Jeju. It is also only 255km from Tsushima in Japan. To the east it is facing Tsushima and Janggi prefecture of Japan with the south sea and East China Sea in between. To the west, Jeju Island faces Shanghai, China with the East China Sea in between. To the south with the South China Sea and to the north is the mainland of Korea with the South Sea in between.

Yeomiji Botanical Garden is a must-see travel spot. This arboretum has 2,000 kinds of rare plants in the greenhouse, and 1,700 kinds of flowers and trees outside and if you go up to the sky lounge in the middle of the garden, you can see the whole arboretum

The Teddy Bear Museum is also not to be missed. Inside the two galleries you can meet the teddy bears from various countries. The gallery is segmented into three sections, the History Hall, the Art Hall and the Project Exhibition Hall. At the History Hall, you can see the 100 year history of teddy bears including famous scenes, popular teddy bears of different eras, and antique teddy bears. The Mona Lisa teddy bear and the teddy bears of the The Last Supper (Leonardo Da Vinci) will especially catch your eyes. The museum is open till 10pm at night in the summer (last admission 9pm)

Something that is rarely seen by visitors to Jeju is the Haenyo (lady divers). These women free dive for seafood and believe it or not; the average age of these ladies is 67. Mini World is a miniature theme park that is the largest of its kind in Korea. You can see famous architectures of Korea and the world, all in one trip. At its sprawling size, the Park holds nearly 100 pieces of small landmarks from 30 countries including the Forbidden City, the Tower Bridge, the leaning tower of Pisa, and the Bulguksa Temple. Mini World is open 09:00-17:30 during November to February and 08:30-19:30 during March to October.
