Tahiti mainly caters for honeymooners and couples, so Tahiti is often overlooked as a family destination. But at Moorea Beachcomber Intercontinental there's fun for the whole family.
While first stop for parents is usually the beach or the bar, first stop for children is the kids' club. All kids aged between four and 10 can join in the range of entertainment provided. The daily schedule runs from 8.30am to around 4.30pm, and offers arts and craft, supervised swimming, beach Olympics, tropical fruit tasting and croquet games. What's more, there's even a special kids' lunch with an a'la carte menu served at 11.30am daily.
Mums and Dads aren't left out, with a vast range of land and sea activities provided, including water skiing, wave-runners, parasailing, snorkelling, scuba diving, horse riding or for complete indulgence, the Helene Spa for a massage or rainshower treatment.
Moorea Beachcomber International Resort is also home to Dolphin Quest. Dolphin Quest offers interactive dolphin encounters, allowing visitors to get right in the water and up close to a dolphin. There's a dolphin holiday experience for every member of the family. The one-hour dolphin training adventure lets you become a dolphin trainer and learn the right hand signals to get your dolphin to perform clever tricks. Stroke their nose and you'll see just how much they enjoy your company.
While you have to be 12 or older to train a dolphin, the littlies can join in the one hour Kids' Ocean Adventure. They'll get right up close to some friendly flippers for an unforgettable time.
There are four types of accommodation at Moorea Beachcomber, with a total of 143 rooms and bungalows. The bungalows are decorated with natural timbers and feature a private balcony opening onto a white sand beach and a blue lagoon. The Lanai Rooms are located in the main building, surrounded by a tropical garden, and each room has a private balcony.
