Film buffs may feel a sense of de ja vu when visiting Kualoa Ranch and that's because this place is Hollywood in Hawaii!

Kualoa Ranch covers 4000 acres of Oahu's east coast and is around an hour away from downtown Honolulu. The family-owned, working cattle ranch has been the backdrop to a number of blockbusters, from Jurassic Park and Mighty Joe Young to Pearl Harbour, Windtalkers and many other feature films and television shows.

The Ranch itself is located on the northeastern side of Oahu in the Hawaiian countryside, and 45 minutes from Waikiki, downtown Honolulu. In ancient times Kualoa was considered one of the most sacred places on Oahu, and was used for training young chiefs in sports, fishing, swimming, and canoeing.

More recently though, its seen everything from giant dinosaur replicas to Godzilla, as it's the set for many movies and TV shows.

Kualoa Ranch has had the cast and crew from movies such as Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbour, George of the Jungle and The Phantom all film on the property.

Magnum PI and Fantasy Island both filmed here and these days it's seen on millions of televisions around the world as set from the popular hit series, Lost.
