Las Vegas, USA
Airing Date: Apr 17th, 2006
There's only one place in the world where you can sample many of the world's great cities inside the one city. And it could only be Las Vegas, USA!
First head to Paris Las Vegas. This hotel casino brings the passion of Paris to the entertainment capital of the world. Located on the famous Las Vegas Strip, this $760 million resort immerses visitors in a complete Parisian experience, including a 50-story replica of the Eiffel Tower.
Leaving Paris you can then travel to Venice in the form of the Venetian Hotel. And no trip to Venice is complete without a gondola ride on the Venetian Grand Canal! Be serenaded by a gondolier as it passes under the Bridge of Sighs. Visit St Mark's Square before eating at one of the al fresco eateries under the faux sunset.
Next stop, Moscow! Mandalay Bay brings back more than a few touches of Soviet Moscow to the strip. Reflecting the former USSR, a decapitated statue of Lenin greets guests to the Red Square bar. Loaded with Soviet propaganda on the walls for some cold-war kitsch, the main attraction here is 100 different varieties of vodka. When you look in the window you can see a vodka chilling room with hundreds of vodkas from around the world. They offer you a complimentary mink coat to wear as you browse through the selections!
From Moscow it's over to Cairo, Egypt! The Luxor Hotel and Casino is one of the older casinos in Las Vegas but it was one of the first to reproduce world landmarks as part of its attractions. It boasts the Sphinx and a huge black glass pyramid that houses accommodation plus an oasis-in-the-desert type landscaping around its pool area.
The cities within the city don't stop there. You could also head to New York or Monte Carlo!
