Discover the rich history of the Albion Park Township. See the relics left behind by our pioneers, and the foundations of our future. The heritage trail starts at the Tongarra Museum in Russell Street Albion Park, where you can pick up a brochure before you begin your journey of the past.

The Albion Park dairying district began as mostly small rented mixed farms where women and children did most of the work while the men worked on the land. Macquarie Pass opened in 1898. Gabriel Timbs, who has 21 children, was a member of the board responsible for erecting the first public school in Albion Park in 1872. The Ravensthorpe Guesthouse & Restaurant was built by Doctor A.W. Bateman in 1893 is now a Winner Best New Restaurant South Coast 2007 RCA awards.

Today Albion Park is an expanding area which holds an appreciation for its historical roots. During November enjoy the launch of the Albion Park Spring Festival and Ball.
