Overview
Edgeroi lies just 26 kilometres North of Narrabri on the Newell Highway (taking a little more than 15 minutes by car) and 90 kilometres South of Moree.
Agriculture is the main industry of the district and the village serves as a community centre for the local farmers as well as the railway grain silo.
Edgeroi is a small grain silo based village with a lot of charm. It was one of the largest Soldier Settlement blocks in NSW to be divided up after the Second World War.
Edgeroi is an agricultural village, and farmers in the area tend to grow wheat and dryland summer crops, cotton and graze cattle. The surrounding country is flat, rich black soil framed by the magnificent Nandewar Ranges.
Edgeroi has a Fuel stop with a shady picnic area. The "Fuel Shop" (also the cheapest fuel on the Newell!) also sells snacks, takeaway foods, general store items and liquor.
