Kiama area has an abundance of attractions. It boasts fine beaches, National Parks, lush countryside and many places to see on your visit.
* The Blowhole situated at Blowhole Point, this natural attraction sends spectacular plumes of water into the air with a South Easterly swell, however, the Little Blowhole performs with a North Easterly swell.
* Barren Grounds Bird Observatory nature reserve is a bird watchers' mecca and also provides stunning coastal views.
* Carrington Falls. A spectacular 50 metre waterfall with walks to several lookouts.
* Family History Centre. This Genealogical Centre features a world wide collection of records.
* Jamberoo Action Park. Fun for the family; activities include toboggans, scenic chairlift, mini golf, waterslides, childrens adventure area and wave pool.
* Spectacular Lookouts includes Saddleback Mountain (7 kilometres south-west of Kiama and 600 metres above sea-level), and Kingsford Smith Memorial Lookout at Gerroa overlooking Seven Mile Beach and National Park.
* Minnamurra Rainforest. Budderoo National Park features a boardwalk allowing visitors to walk through and experience the forest habitat (wheelchair accessible.
* Museums. Provide the history of the area and include the Pilot's Cottage Museum at Blowhole Point and Gerringong Heritage Centre in Blackwood St Gerringong.
* The Terrace shop in restored timber terraces, which provide a range of craft, gift and speciality shops.
Getting There
Located in the Illawarra, 122kms south of Sydney, 37kms south of Wollongong. You can get there by rail from Sydney. Interstate coaches travel daily connecting Sydney to Melbuorne via Princes Highway.
