Shelly Beach is located five kilometres south of The Entrance and is well known as a surfing beach. The coasts major attractions are within 25 minutes of Shelly Beach Visitors to Shelly Beach can experience swimming andsurfing at the beach which is patrolled in the summer season (October long weekend through to Easter), fishing, golf and picnic and barbecues areas.

There is accommodation available and there are shops and clubs in nearby Bateau Bay.
