It's dangerous to stay indoors in Belgium, what with the outrageous range of beer sold here - you could lose months. So Belgians force themselves outdoors to the Ardennes, where they ski in winter and kayak, hike and mountain bike in summer. Despite the lack of space in the country, golf has become a fashionable pastime. The best area for rock climbing is along the Meuse River.
