Venice Health and Safety

All in all, the half-awake visitor to Venice should have no problems. Still, the presence of so many foreigners inevitably encourages pickpockets and like-minded small-time criminals. A modicum of awareness and keeping anything valuable well hidden should be enough protection.

A particular problem on the Isola del Tronchetto is false water-taxi drivers.
