Seville

One of the first people to fall in love with Seville was the poet-king Al-Mutamid, and the city's ability to dazzle has not abated since. It takes a stony heart not to be captivated by its exuberant atmosphere - stylish, confident, ancient, proud, yet also convivial, intimate and fun-loving.

Seville Transport

Coming and Going

Seville's San Pablo Airport is well served by a range of domestic and international airlines. There are two long-distance bus stations in town, with frequent service to the rest of AndalucĂa, the Mediterranean Coast and points north of the Sierra Morena and Portugal. Four classes of trains, including the hyper-speedy AVE service, connect Seville to Madrid. Other transport options include renting a car or motorcycle and braving the jostling common out on the open road. Only the most hearty and adventurous cyclists tour the region.

Getting About

Most of the tourist sights in Seville are within walking distance of each other. Cycling is an easy way to get around the city due to the flat terrain, although navigating the traffic can be difficult. Scooters are available for hire and are a good choice, particularly if you have some experience negotiating narrow European streets. Remember that helmets are required by law. Taxis are an obvious choice, too.
