I am, what you would call a devoted foodie. I think about food at least 100 times a day. My mind is constantly swirling with thoughts like: what will I make for dinner?, what is the hottest new restaurant?, what time is lunch?, when are mango's back in season?

So every year, I await the Good Food and Wine show with eager anticipation. A humungous hall packed with different food sensations - and they all offer samples as well. I make a point never to have a meal before visiting the show - I always come out full of delicious goodies and laden with bags of food that are on special at the various stalls.

This year, the Sydney show (20th - 22nd June) is even more must-visit than ever. Do you know Gordon Ramsay? That charming, foul-mouthed chef, star of Kitchen Nightmares and other addictive TV shows. Well, he will be in Sydney in June especially for the Good Food and Wine Show. I can't wait to see Gordon live. And who knows, thanks to the organisers of the show who are bringing the chef out for this occasion, maybe we'll see a local version of his restaurant makeover shows on our screens soon.

According to the Good Food and Wine Show website, apparently I'm not the only one keen for Gordon. All the pre-allocated tickets to his show have been sold out so they've built a bigger stage and added a new session. Hopefully there'll be at least one ticket left for me for his eight live shows during the weekend.

But even if you're not a Ramsay fan, there are plenty of other scrumptious attractions at the show. You can learn chef secrets in the hands-on cooking classes, a coffee school, Lyndey Milan's regional producers market, a restaurant dining experience and a special After Dark session. This is a night session on Friday 20th June from 6-9pm, perfect for an after-work snack.

Where and when
The Sydney Good Food & Wine Show will be held on 20 June - 22 June at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre. Tickets to the show are $25 and available through Ticketmaster or the Good Food and Wine show website.

Food lovers in Perth and Melbourne need not despair.

The Good Food & Wine Show is back in Melbourne on Friday 30 May - Sunday 1 June at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre. The show brings new features and highlights including hands-on cooking and coffee classes, Lyndey Milan's regional producers market, a restaurant dining experience and a special after dark session.

Visitors will be treated to the best regional produce, sample sweet delights, taste unique boutique beers and discover a new appreciation of wine at the informative and entertaining Wine Theatre presentations.

The Good Food & Wine Show is coming to Perth for the first time in July, where visitors can see live demonstrations from celebrity chefs and more than 150 food, wine and beverage exhibitors showcasing their fare. This will be held on Friday 11 July - Sunday 13 July at the Convention Exhibition Centre.
