Mr Rose
31 Norfolk Street,
One of the newest stores to hit Paddington so this store will be news for even the locals. Mr Rose stocks finely tailored shirts - such as beautiful and playful tuxedo shirts with a feminine touch -- and a range of bold yet sophisticated accessories designed by local artisans that suit the modern urban woman. The label already has a cult following.
Lazybones
87 Paddington St, Paddington.
This clever collaboration of three designers based in Byron Bay, with vintage-inspired (think 1920s-1950s era) designs with a lovely sense of now. Lazybones is fast becoming an acclaimed sleepwear and bedlinen company. The clothes feature beautiful organic cottons and other natural fibres that are good for Mother Earth. There is also a range of vintage jewellery and handcrafted accessories.
Easton Pearson
18 Elizabeth Street, Paddington.
One of my favorite Australian designer labels for their stunning and unique pieces made from specially designed cloths that the team (Lydia and Pamela) create as part of their strong design ethos. The store is a must visit while in Sydney though these ladies are originally from Brisbane.
Zambesi
5 Glenmore Road, Paddington.
This iconic New Zealand label (b. 1979) recently opened a new store on Glenmore Road. The focus is on vvintage cuts and fabrics are given innovative interpretations; a gathering-up of hues, textures and weights. Disregarding obvious trends, the focus of Zambezi is to produce garments that may be worn and treasured over time.
Ocularity
200 Oxford Street, Paddington.
If you have a passion for glasses or sunglasses, Ocularity is a must - they carry the largest collection of beautifully handcrafted Lafont eyewear alongside other exclusive labels like Lindberg rimless frames and Tom Ford. This Parisian-inspired boutique is worth visiting alone!

Yellow combines a licensed bistro with food store and is a very popular local eating spot. They have great gnocchi, pesto and parmesan and the desserts are spectacular. The bakery goods are hard to pass up too. I love the coconut panna cotta with fresh mango.

FOOD HEAVEN: The Tea Room Level 3, QVB, George St The Tea Room (in the former grand ballroom of the QVB) is worth stopping in for the amazing experience. I find the Victorian-based interiors have such grace and style and the modern menu of food and drinks always delight the taste buds.
