The Taste of Sydney

Chefs to deliver dream degustation at world renowned food event.

Sydneysider's culinary dreams are about to come true with the arrival of the world's hottest food event 'Taste' in March 2009. Diners can traverse the city's hottest restaurants in a matter of minutes to create their very own degustation menu... an entree from Berowra Waters, main course from Becasse, dessert from Jonah's and a Longrain cocktail to finish!

The acclaimed international food event arrives in Sydney following sell out events in Dubai, Dublin, London and Cape Town. The action packed four day event will be set in Sydney's glorious Centennial Parklands, where an outdoor restaurant fantasy land will be created including 15 of Sydney's hottest restaurants, wineries, producers, cocktail bars, live music and well appointed seating areas.

The stellar line up of chefs (see list below for full details) will each produce three signature tastes from fully equipped kitchens which have been carefully planned and constructed on site to mirror that of a commercial grade kitchen, a spectacle never seen before in Sydney.

The glamour outdoor food event will also boast a Taste Wine Theatre with Gourmet Traveller Wine Magazine, Australian Gourmet Traveller Master Classes and Chef's Table and James Squire Beer Masterclass. The hot ticket of the event is The Emirates Lounge where guests have the opportunity to sit in their outdoor first class lounge, with a private bar, exclusive seating, live music and complimentary drinks.

Crowns are the currency of the day and are used at Taste of Sydney to purchase dishes from the restaurants, drinks and exhibiting producers, 1 Crown = $1. You can eat food from Sydney's leading restaurants from as little as 8 Crowns, drinks are set at bar prices. Crowns can be brought prior to the event through Ticketek or through Crown Banks and Crown Sellers throughout the festival.

Taste of Sydney is the showcase event for Sydney's thriving dining scene - a summer's day out not to be missed.
