Twenty-one Australian hotels named amongst the world's favourite.

Twenty-one Australian hotels have made it on to this year's annual global Expedia Insiders' Select list of the world's favourite hotels, with The Majestic Roof Garden Hotel in Adelaide claiming top spot among the favourite Australian hotels featured (see below for full list).

Now in its third year, the list represents the extensive range of hotel types offered by Expedia globally and those that have been recognised for consistently delivering excellent service, a great overall experience and providing notable value.

The list was compiled using a combination of hundreds of thousands of traveller opinions. This was combined with insights from Expedia's own network of hundreds of experts worldwide, systematically comparing hotels and resorts to similar properties to determine the best value for money.

Louise Crompton, Marketing Manager for Expedia.com.au, says: "The fact that Australian hotels have more than quadrupled their presence on this year's list confirms our belief that Australia offers world-class accommodation and shows that international travellers are impressed by both the quality and value of the accommodation they find in our country."
