Point Pass was a bustling town in its heyday – the place was full of saddlers, blacksmiths, carpenters, a cheese and butter factory, upholsterers and even a watchmaker. All of the historic buildings still stand today and Point Pass is now a dormitory town for Robertstown and Eudunda. One operational business is the Hotel, first opened in 1876. The original stone stables, with walls two feet thick, are part of the building.

Two attractions are located between Eudunda and Point Pass. The first is the Lutheran Church, that serves Point Pass and district. It has a gold painted domed roof, which dazzles motorists as they drive past. The second building of significance is the Old Lutheran Boarding College, a complex of graceful proportions with all the rooms fitted out with antiques, each with its own unique theme.
